Charabanc Outing toWembley, 1926.
Image kindly loaned by Grace Everson of Arrington.

Image: 1926, posed scene, quality of the available image (large print) is rated as 'excellent'. Names contributed by Grace Everson.
Location: Unknown but probably Arrington prior to departure.

A party of Arrington villagers leaving on a charabanc outing to Wembley in 1926. It is assumed that this was a visit to the British Empire Exhibition site at Wembley Park (shown left). Although the exhibition closed in 1925, it is believed the fairground site remained open for a further year or two.

Four of the party have been identified (see detail), left to right, Miss Maud Reed, Miss Mary Reed, Miss Ethel Williams (in the dark coat) and Mrs Kitty Reed (with the floral hat).

Please e-mail if you can put any other names to the faces.
